The engine offers high torque at low RPMs and excellent fuel adaptability, ensuring stable performance even when using the lower-quality diesel often found in Africa; it provides robust power for heavy-duty climbing while maintaining controlled fuel consumption.
It is equipped with an HW19710 10-speed manual transmission and a standard HW70 power take-off (PTO), which directly supplies power to the hydraulic system of an articulated-boom crane, making it ideal for truck-mounted crane conversions.
The vehicle features a VGD95 (9.5-ton) front axle and dual MCP16ZG (16-ton each) rear axles, complete with hub reduction, inter-axle differentials, and cross-axle differential locks.
